Sadly I did the same thing :3 Just have to be patience as this method is not the fastest or easiest way to kill him. It's probably the hardest way and you should be proud of beating him with normal attack.
The retard mode is basically easy to understand after a few failures. Always be on the cautious side by blocking rather than attacking him.
How did u manage to kill him? every time he reaches 15-20 % hp gose retard mode and i only hit him with 35 normal mele attack, 110+ skill attack.
